“Improving Instruction for Students with Dyslexia”
is a professional development course
developed by the Tennessee Center for the Study & Treatment of Dyslexia at
Middle Tennessee State University.
The course is designed for school personnel (general
education teachers, special education and resource teachers, reading teachers
and literacy leaders, administrators, school psychologists, and speech language
pathologists) who want to better identify dyslexia in grades K-12 and provide
appropriate intervention and accommodations to students with dyslexia. Although
this course is designed with school personnel in mind, parents of students with
dyslexia as well as adults with dyslexia are welcome to take this course in
order to learn more about dyslexia. The focus of the course, however, remains
in the classroom (more...)
